Last Year, I Had the Opportunity to Train This Remarkable Individual – Here’s Her Inspiring Story (Must Read)

Anjali had always been ambitious. As an HR manager at a leading corporation, she was constantly juggling multiple responsibilities, managing employee relations, recruitment and implementing policies to maintain a harmonious workplace. Despite her successful career of a decade, Anjali felt something was missing. The stress and demands of her job were taking a toll on her mental and physical health, leaving her feeling drained and unfulfilled. That constant desire of working for herself was eating her up by the end of every day.

One day, while scrolling through her WhatsApp status Anjali stumbled upon a post about the Certified Mindful Lifestyle Coach from her friend who had recently got certified to proficiently coach globally. Intrigued by the idea of mindful lifestyle and the potential to help others, she decided to explore further. She immediately called her friend Pooja and asked for details. Pooja had been in the corporate world too for more than 10 years just like Anjali and they shared the same interest of taking care of their financial stability as well as starting something part-time which was related to their innate skills and interest, which eventually would make them feel content with their existence. The post and phone call for a few minutes with Pooja resonated deeply with Anjali and she envisioned herself happier, peaceful and guiding others toward a healthier and more mindful lifestyle.

Anjali decided to talk to the trainer who was going to train her for this international certification. She also visited www.shwetakulkarni.com to check if everything was legit. Next thing she did was TAKE ACTION and signed up for the training, eager to embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. The training was eye-opening and filled with learnings. She was introduced to understanding oneself – knowing what forms a particular type of person – why they do what they do, fundamental principles of mindfulness, learning how to be present in the moment, how to cultivate a sense of peace and balance in her daily life and most importantly qualities of a coach with ICF core competencies. Something that Anjali was awed by was the 6-step personal coaching format & the 6-step group coaching session format. In her words ‘the sessions were so engaging and interactive, filled with practical exercises that I could immediately apply them to my routine.’ As the training progressed, Anjali began to notice significant changes in herself. She started incorporating mindfulness practices into her daily life, such as mindful meditations and mindful breathing exercises. These practices helped her manage stress more effectively and enhanced her overall well-being. She felt more centered and focused and her productivity at work improved remarkably with fulfilment by end of the day.

The training also provided Anjali with valuable tools and techniques to help others. The sense of fulfilment she gained from helping others was immensely rewarding, reigniting her passion for making a positive impact. Anjali knew exactly how to coach her employees and sometimes her bosses too.

Inspired by her own transformation, Anjali decided to take a bold step. She started a part-time business as a Certified Mindful Lifestyle Coach. Balancing her corporate job and coaching business was challenging, but Anjali was determined to make it work. She began offering mindfulness, mindful working, mindful living, work life balance and how to deal with stress at workplace workshops online and offline too. As she had learned 6-step systematic personal coaching format, the more she read and practiced, it became easy for her to conduct one-on-one coaching sessions for her colleagues. She also started getting clients other than her work place through her friends and family and this majorly became her weekend part-time work.

Anjali’s coaching business quickly gained traction after 6 months. She also started collaborating with her friend Pooja because of whom she had got this opportunity to become a Certified Coach. They conducted Mindfulness workshops for corporate employees which gave them a sense of fulfilment as they were not only transforming participant’s lives but also reforming their own lives.

Word spread about the positive changes her clients were experiencing and she began receiving referrals from satisfied clients. Her corporate background gave her a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by professionals, making her coaching sessions particularly relevant and effective.

One of Anjali’s bosses, Kumar, a project manager at the same company, was struggling with burnout and stress. He had heard about Anjali’s coaching from an employee and decided to approach Anjali to coach him. Through their sessions, Anjali guided Kumar in incorporating mindfulness practices into his daily routine. She taught him how to manage stress, improve focus and cultivate a healthier work-life balance. Over time, Kumar experienced a significant transformation. He felt more energized, focused and happier both at work and most importantly in his personal life.

Something awesome happened, on recommendation of her boss Kumar, Anjali got invited to a HR conference to give a guest talk about Mindfulness at the workplace.

Anjali’s journey from a stressed HR manager to a successful Mindful Lifestyle Coach was a testament to the power of mindfulness. She had found her true calling, helping others achieve a balanced and fulfilling life. Her story inspired many of her colleagues, and she often shared her experiences and insights in corporate wellness programs and seminars.

The success of Anjali’s coaching business continued to grow and she eventually could actually visualize that in the next 5 years she would want to pursue coaching full-time as a HR consultant and Mindfulness Coach. She had also realized that she loves her work place and her work as senior HR now. This way she could dedicate herself to helping individuals and not just her own organization but many others.

Reflecting on her journey, Anjali realized that the Certified Mindful Lifestyle Coach training had not only transformed her life but also the lives of many others. As her trainer used to say during training sessions, ‘let’s create an army of Mindfulness coaches as we alone cannot make this world a peaceful place.’ The knowledge and skills she gained enabled her to make a meaningful difference, guiding people toward a more mindful and fulfilling life. Anjali’s story was a powerful illustration to the incredible potential of mindfulness in transforming lives, both personally and professionally.

She also mentioned to me that I really wish all of us work on finding their daily purpose which is actually to make our lives happier, otherwise if there is no progression we humans will never be happy, instead complaining about everything around and waiting for some god to transform their lives. But the truth is ‘if you are thirsty first just accept that you are thirsty,’ and water will find a way to you through different ways, make sure you see it and accept it. Becoming a Certified Mindful Lifestyle Coach happened to me when I was quenched with thirst, I found my way to help myself and help others too. Anjali believed that by spreading mindfulness and well-being, we could create a ripple effect, transforming lives and workplaces for the better.
